You have looked at dozens of floorplans searching for the perfect layout for your home, and now it is time to make a decision. Most floorplans have adjustable options to allow you to customize a home to fit your family’s needs, so there are things you can do to get the building of your new home underway.

    The Kitchen And Laundry Area

Within the options of the floorplan you choose, you will find things you can change including cabinets, counters, layout, and appliances. If you have a large family you will want to consider the cabinets you need. There are many choices for specialty cabinets, including those for spices, pans, glassware, and canned goods. Choose a work island with electrical outlets and storage drawers or one that is designed as an eating area with stools. You may be able to increase the size of your laundry room, add a sink, folding counter, and additional cabinets. Discuss potential changes with your real estate agent to be sure the updates you want are acceptable for the floor plan you have chosen.

    Bedrooms

According to Acadia Homes & Neighborhood of Atlanta GA, carpeting, windows, doors, and closet space are the common items you can choose in the bedrooms. There are many options for carpeting and flooring, as well as upgrades that will add on to the cost. Windows come in a variety of styles and insulation grades. If you live in the north you will want to choose double-paned windows for the insulation factor. Closet space is also important to families, you can have the closets as large as you want in most floor plans. Most master bedroom plans include a walk-in closet with a variety of custom design layouts.

    Living Room

Once again there are multiple options available for flooring and carpeting, windows and doors. You may choose a fireplace option if you in the north, and quite often both gas and wood-burning stoves are available. Overhead fans and lighting options can be upgraded as can most other choices, but remember that all changes will add to your final cost.

    Bathrooms

According to WikiHow, you can choose from walk-in shower enclosures or regular styles with doors. You can choose a whirlpool bathtub style if you want to create a spa ambiance in your master bathroom. Double sinks, granite counters, bidets, and cabinets also offer a variety of options.

Your new home will become a reality when you put it all together with your personal preferences for carpets, flooring materials, windows, cabinets, and other structural components.
